Finding Equilibrium | Mind | Body | Spirit | The Ayurvedic Way
ABOUT ME

I trained and qualified as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Nutrition Consultant under the expert guidance of one of the foremost Ayurvedic doctors in Europe, Dr Deepika Rodrigo (BAMS) at the highly renowned Ayurvedic Institute, UK. I will be continuing further advanced study of Ayurveda for a few more years with Dr Rodrigo whilst I continue to practice.
My career background is in the NGO sector in South Asia and in Higher Education in the UK. I’ve spent the last 15 years at the University of Oxford in the Medical and Life Sciences and in more recent years, in the Dept of Politics and International Relations. I still work at Oxford but in a less demanding and consciously chosen role so that I am able to dedicate some of my time to this life enriching practice.
Ayurveda has been a part of my life since early childhood in Sri Lanka. Ayurvedic cooking, along with the use of spices and oils for various ailments is something that was instilled in me from an early age. I am grateful to the doctors at the Ayurvedic Institute who have enabled me to take it to another level by imparting the more complex medicinal aspects of authentic Ayurveda. It has been truly inspirational to learn how effective this ancient holistic medicinal system is in treating the ever-increasing conditions that we are faced with today.
My goal as an Ayurvedic Consultant is to be a part of your healing journey in an empathetic and empowering way, so that you gain the tools to maintain your own health and well-being.
My message for you - if there is a niggling ailment, please don't disregard it. Awareness and early prevention is key.
